What they do
They defend the right to a safe home. Because home is everything, they can offer advice on a wide variety of housing issues and what to do if you find yourself homeless. The advice they give is one-to-one, personalised and you can speak to an advisor over their webchat system.
Phoneline is open 365 days of the year and will answer calls from anyone struggling with an housing issue, or find themselves homeless.
They have solicitors to provide free legal advice and attend court to help people who’ve lost their homes or are facing eviction. Call the helpline if:
-
are homeless
-
have nowhere to stay tonight
-
are worried about losing your home in the next two months
-
are at risk of harm or abuse

Roundabout
Help for homeless aged 16-25
Roundabout is South Yorkshire’s local youth housing charity providing shelter, support and life skills to young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
They aim to empower young people to break the cycle of homelessness by helping them develop long term independent living skills and supporting them with their health, education, employment and training needs. They want to support them in their time of need, as every young person deserves the chance to have a bright future.
They are strongly committed to preventing youth homelessness and deliver highly effective mediation and drop-in advice services as well as homeless education in schools. Roundabout's groundbreaking Peer Education Project is delivered by trained volunteer Peer Educators who have experienced homelessness themselves.
They also do advocacy for estranged parents and carers to help them reconcile and improve relationships.
We now have dedicated workers who actively go out into the community, identify homeless young people who need intensive support and help them to access accommodation and develop their long term living skills.
